HP DVD+R DL Media = GARBAGE
I went to HP’s website and got an e-mail address I was supposed to send a message to for warranty, but the e-mail bounced.
I decided to call them.
I was transferred a total of 5 times, 3 of the 5 people didn’t speak English.
I was given two different numbers to call. (One number is disconnected.)
Finally, I get someone on the line, he told me that he was going to have to transfer me again, and I told him that this was ridiculous - I spent more than an hour on the phone, which is worth more than the $10 I spent on the DVD media. He said “Sorry” and hung up on me.
You see, this is the reason why I will never purchase HP products again. They cannot even have their shit together enough to try to help me, and they are the stereotypical nightmare customer service call.
I tried to return the media to the store, and they told me that since they were opened and used, I could not have a refund.
I am forever boycotting all HP products. The only reason I even bought them in the first place is because they were the only DL media that was in stock, and never even thought that anything could go wrong… It’s just media.

August 5th, 2008 at 3:20 pm Ya, my issue with HP media is they seem to break my burner. Either its the media or 3 different burners on 3 different machines had a fluk. I have since moved to verbatim and no issues. I would recommend not buying HP media. They make Imation & memorex look good.
